Winslade Library of Things - How it works:
Inside the 100+ homes that comprise Winslade Road will be hundreds of gadgets, power tools and hand tools; bits of office and craft equipment, gardening stuff and so much more. Many of these things sit unused in our cupboards, garages and lofts for months on end. We can save money, and benefit the planet, by borrowing items from each other rather than buying stuff that we’ll use maybe once or twice a year.
Neighbours are already lending and borrowing equipment from time to time, and Winslade Library of Things is an extension of this neighbourliness; a directory of items that neighbours in Winslade and Malvern Road are happy to lend each other for a week or so on an informal basis.
Take a look at the 'Things to Borrow' link and make a note of the number of the item you wish to borrow, then email us at winsladethings@gmail.com and we'll put you in touch with the owner. Please be aware that lending and borrowing through the Winslade Library of Things is an informal agreement between borrower and the lender and is undertaken at your own risk.
